Royal NZ Ballet in Akaroa
The Royal New Zealand Ballet is in Akaroa for 1 performance only at the Gaiety. Tickets will be $40 per person and numbers are limited. Le Race
This annual cycle race starts in Cathedral Square, Christchurch at 7.30am for the pre-race briefing! And then it's all go at 8.00am. The finish line is on Woodills Rd, Akaroa, followed by prize giving on the Akaroa recreation ground. Make a weekend of it by booking into 1 of the many wonderful B&B's in Akaroa and enjoy a family weekend away.

Permanent Exhibition at the Akaroa Museum
Salute to Adventure – the Frank Worsley story. Catch the exhibition at the Akaroa Museum and discover one of the most amazing stories of survival of the 20th century. Worsley was a supreme mariner, an unforgettable character and an irrepressible adventurer. The Museum is open 10-4pm daily.

Every Saturday Morning
Akaroa Farmers Market
The Akaroa Farmers Market had just started this Summer and has already proved really popular. Every Saturday morning from 10am till 1pm in the Peppertree Cafe, 41 Rue Lavaud, Akaroa (Sports Pavilion on Recreation Grounds if wet). Banks Peninsula has an abundance of produce and a great micro-climate and lots of passionate gardeners. For sale you will find locally grown fruit, veges, herbs, honey, olive oil and flowers plus locally produced preserves, pickles, jams, bread, pastries and lavender products and lots more.

Classic Boat Regatta
Vintage & Replica Sail or Power Craft. Come and celebrate and share the pleasure and enjoyment of classic boats on and off the water. Akaroa Harbour is a beautiful harbour in which to appreciate all boating activity. Come and enjoy the regatta and make a weekend of it.
