Akaroa Harvest Festival
The fourth Annual Akaroa Harvest Festival will take place this year on April 11th at the Akaroa Area School from 10 am to 4.00pm. This year's festival boasts 30 stalls showcasing prime locally-sourced produce ranging from mussel and paua fritters and Pig in a Day - all things pork including a workshop - 'Three things Italian', also Peninsula sourced honey and award-winning olive oil to name a few. As always, the atmosphere will be enhanced with live music, local wine, and traditional games like sack races. A cake auction will be one of the highlights with chefs returning to Akaroa by way of some outstanding cakes - all proceeds to Akaroa Health Hub. The festival celebrates some of the best food and wine in the country - all produced on Banks Peninsula. This is a free event.
